オアフ島に汚水注意報発令中
ハワイ州の保健衛生局では現在、週末に雨が降り続いたオアフ島全域に汚水注意報を発令している。 当局では、下水のほか、農薬や化学薬品などの有機物質を含んだ大量の汚水が大雨によって河川などに流れ込んでいるとして、市民に対して茶色く濁った水に近づかないように呼びかけている。

ハーフマラソンに2,300人以上が参加
悪天候に見舞われた昨日、オアフ島で今回で2度目となるハーフマラソン大会「ハパルア・ハーフマラソン」が行われ、2,300人以上のランナーが参加した。 ワイキキにあるデューク・カハナモク像前を午前6時にスタートしたハーフマラソン大会で見事1位に輝いたのは、25歳のスティーブン・マーシーさんで、賞金$5,000を獲得している。
