 カウアイ島リフエ地区で、1920年代より営業を続けていた老舗レストランの「ハナマウル・カフェ」が、先週金曜日で閉店した。なお、閉店の理由は明らかになっていない。 ジンジャーチキンやエビ料理など、和食と中華の要素が入った料理の数々を提供していたレストランは、カウアイ島民に長年にわたって親しまれており、多くの島民が老舗レストランの閉店を惜しんだ。
