市議会がパールリッジのコンド建設計画を承認

 ホノルル市議会は昨日、オアフ島パールリッジ地区にあるカム・ドライブイン・シアター跡地での計画が進んでいるコンドミニアムの建設計画を承認した。 今回承認されたコンドミニアムの建設計画では、カム・ドライブイン・シアター跡地に5棟、約1,500世帯分のコンドミニアムを建設するというもので、5棟のコンドミニアムのうち3棟の建物の高さ制限を350、300、250フィートとするほか、残りの2棟の高さ制限を150フィートまでにするとしている。 また、コンドミニアムの約30%ほどを、収入が低い市民でも入居可能な手ごろな価格帯にすることも定めている。 このほか同地区では、コンドミニアムの建設のほかに、新たな道路やレストラン、ショップ、スーパーマーケットなどが入店する商業スペースも建設される予定で、早ければ来年度中に最初の商業スペースが完成する見込みとなっている。

ヴェルサーチがアラモアナに上陸

 オアフ島最大のショッピングスポットとして知られるアラモアナセンターは昨日、来月にもイタリアの高級ブランド店「ヴェルサーチ」が店舗をオープンすると発表した。 イタリア・ミラノに拠点を置くヴェルサーチの新店舗の場所は、アラモアナセンターのメイシーズ側モールレベルで、アルマーニ・エクスチェンジとトゥミの間で、以前にビッグアイランドキャンディーズが営業していたスペース。現在、店舗従業員の募集も行われている。
