 不動産写真のコンテストである「Photographer of the Year for Real Estate」で、ハワイ島在住の写真家、イーサン・トゥイーディー氏の作品が、2013年最優秀賞を獲得した。 最優秀賞に選ばれたイーサンさんの作品は、ハワイ島コナのクキオ・リゾートで撮影されたもので、イーサンさんは「不動産関連のサイトやブログなどを参考にするなどし、不動産写真家としての技術向上を目指していました。今回、不動産写真で最優秀賞を獲得でき、とても嬉しく、そして誇りに思っています」と語っている。

ライオンキングのオーディション開催

 オアフ島ワード地区にあるニール・ブレイズデル・センターで開催中のブロードウェイショー「ライオンキング」が、新キャストメンバーを募集するオーディションを開催する。 今回のオーディションでは、18歳以上の男女のキャストを募集しており、見事合格すればライオンキングのキャストメンバーとして活躍することができる。 オーディションはサウス・ホテル通りにあるバレエ・ハワイで開催予定で、歌手のオーディションは2月16日(日)、女性ダンサーのオーディションは17日(月)、男性ダンサーのオーディションは18日(火)に行われる。 なおオーディションの応募可能年齢は、歌手が18歳~35歳まで、ダンサーは18歳~30歳までとなっている。
