 大規模な再開発計画が進められているオアフ島ワイキキのインターナショナル・マーケットプレイスで昨日、鍬入れ式が行われ、ハワイ州のニール・アバクロンビー知事などの関係者が参加した。 2016年初頭の完成が予定されている新インターナショナル・マーケットプレイスには、米高級百貨店チェーンであるサックス・フィフス・アベニューのほか、75の店舗と7件のレストランが入店予定となっているほか、クヒオ通り側には約700のスペースを有する駐車場も建設される予定となっている。
