Council passes $2.14B budget

 マウイ郡不動産協会は、今年5月中に売買が行われたマウイ島内のコンドミニアムの販売価格が、前年同月に比べて大幅増だったと発表した。 協会によると、先月マウイ島内で売買されたコンドミニアムの販売戸数は116戸で、前年同月の139戸に比べて減少しているものの、中間販売価格は$476,000で、前年同月の$380,000に比べて約25%高だったとしている。なお、マウイ島内で先月中に売買が成立した一戸建て住宅の中間販売価格は$549,000で、前年同月の$540,000に比べて1.7%増だった。

 オアフ島のホノルル国際空港近くで47年間にわたって営業を続けていた24時間レストランのバイロンズ・ドライブ・インの跡地に、ファストフードチェーンのマクドナルドが出店を予定していることが明らかになった。 マクドナルド社では今回、ニミッツハイウェイとパイエア通りの角に新たな店舗を建設予定としているものの、新店舗の開業時期などについては発表していない。
