スタイリッシュな高架橋柱がお目見え

 オアフ島で建設が進められている鉄道システムで使用される高架橋柱の1本に、ハワイらしいデザインがエンボス加工された柱がお目見えしている。 今回、カポレイ地区のホオピイ駅になる場所に設置された高架橋柱は、デザイナーのダニエル・カネクニ氏が担当し、柱には珊瑚や同地区に群生していたとされるウルの木などがデザインされている。 当局は、今後も島内に設置される21の鉄道駅に、ハワイの美しい自然などがデザインが施された高架柱を設置するとしている。

鉄道工事に伴う交通規制を実施

 ホノルル高速交通機関局(Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation )は、7月27日(日)より、オアフ島内で鉄道建設の工事に伴う交通規制を行うとして、市民に対して注意と協力を呼びかけている。 当局は今回、交通渋滞が起きにくい夜間から早朝を中心にカポレイ地区東部からアラモアナ地区の20マイル間で交通規制を実施するとしており、市民対し、移動時間に余裕を持って行動するほか、ニュースやウェブサイトで最新の交通情報を入手してもらいたいとしている。

Why can't the signature part be on the inside yellow envelope?
